The AusDBF Level 2 is an intense course designed to enable learning for Level 1 Coaches to progress to Club Head Coach, State Squad Coach & National Team Divisional Coach. Teaching competencies will include coaching competitive-hi-performance teams, biomechanics, periodisation (a look at the different types and their application) season plans, bioenergetics, crew selection, physiology, sports psychology, advanced techniques and steering tactics for 2000m racing.

Coaches must have previously obtained level 1 accreditation and actively coached for a minimum of two years. The course is in two parts, totaling six days and will involve both on and off water activity.
