PREREQUISITES

  • AusDBF Learning Modules You are required to log into the "AusDBF Learning Platform" to complete the following 3 modules ** prior to ** attending the coaching course: Coaching for Athlete Safety (~30min), Coaching and the Law (~30min), Rules and Regulations (~30min)

There is a quiz at the end of each module and you need to pass the quiz to proceed to the next module.

*** You MUST complete the online modules PRIOR to attending the weekend. ***

 

  • Community Coaching Essential Skills by AuSport. This online coaching course contains four modules, covering a range of general coaching topics including the role and responsibilities expected of a coach, planning, safety, working with parents, communication, group management and inclusive coaching practices. It takes approximately four hours to complete, and there is assessment included at the end of each module. Please ensure you complete this prior to attending the coaching course.

You will need to create a login with AuSport to access the course. Here is the link to the portal: https://learning.ausport.gov.au/auth/login/.

Once you have successfully logged in, click on "Browse Learning" and look for "Community Coaching Essential Skills". Once you have found the course page, click on "enrol me" to commence.

 

  • First Aid Certification – All participants should have a current First Aid Certification. If your First Aid is not current or don’t have one, you to show evidence that you have booked to attend a course.

 

  • Working with children check – if you have not registered for this, please ensure you completed this ASAP.

 

  • Course Prepwork Day 1 of coaching course prework. Please prepare the following for discussion / execution: One (1) x water training session plan with a minimum of 3 drills, One (1) x warm up & cool down session for each lesson plan.

 

  • Review the Coaching Workshop Manual v3.5

 

 

 

REFUND/CANCELATION

  • In the event the participant has paid for the course and is no longer able to attend, a refund (minus transaction fees) can be sought at the latest 7 days prior to the course date. Please contact office@dbnsw.org.au in this instance.
  • In the event that the course is cancelled due to unexpected circumstances all participants will be contacted, notified and issued a full refund.
