CEO Resignation

Hello Clubs & Paddlers,
The Board of DBNSW wish to advise our Dragon Boat Community of the resignation of CEO Lucy Warhurst.
Lucy has advised of her intent to take over the reins of Equestrian Australia at the beginning of September 2018.
The entire Dragon Boat community wish Lucy well in her new endeavours and thank her for the huge and beneficial change she has helped introduce to the governance and operations of DBNSW.
During her time with us, Lucy has...
- Secured a licence agreement with RMS for our site at Bank Street
- Gaining funding for not only improvements at Bank St but also for the promotion of Dragon boating across the State
- Worked with the Board to establish a new strategic plan and operational direction
- Visited each of the DBNSW Strategic regions, North, South, West, Central Coast and Hunter and Metro Sydney
- Continued the solid financial position for the success of Dragon Boating in NSW
- Worked tirelessly establishing constructive dialogue with other State Dragon Boat Organisations and worked with AusDBF for the betterment of the sport State-wide, Nationally and Internationally
- Introduced many paddle sport administrators and professionals to our Board and sport bettering the future for our community
- Established best practice operations and governance to help DBNSW achieve great results for the future
- Linked our sport with International business operations highlighting potential growth and sponsorship
Lucy through her sport contacts and strategic alliances has put DBNSW on the map! Our sport will further develop successfully because of her tenure with us and we’d like to thank her for all she has helped DBNSW achieve over the past year.
Dragon Boating’s loss is Equestrian’s gain however Lucy has advised she will always have a soft spot for our sport! Thanks Lucy!
