COVID-19 POLICIES & GUIDELINES UPDATE
Published Mon 05 Apr 2021
Hello Clubs & Covid Safety Officers,
The Public Health Order on Gatherings was updated on Friday 26th March coming into effect on Monday 29th March. Significant changes were made to the restrictions in this document and in response DBNSW has updated nearly all of our COVID-19 related policies, guidelines and templates. These are available on the dbnsw website here.
Most importantly for clubs is that many of the mandatory items and processes that must be included in their COVID-19 Safety Plans have been updated and scaled back in some areas. Now is great time for club's and their covid officers to review their safety plans in line with these changes.
DBNSW has put together the below memo which can be used by club's to assist them in updating their current plans. Alternatively, given the amount of changes, Clubs could also consider using the NSW Government Safety Plan Template for sport (which is now classified under Outdoor Events) to replace their existing plans. In either circumstance we ask that club's provide DBNSW with a copy of their Safety Plan if any updates are made.
Finally, Clubs and members should be wary of the possibility of things changing at short notice and that there is always the possibility that the Public Health Order will again change especially if there is an increase in local COVID-19 transmissions. The recent restrictions implemented on the Far North Coast of NSW is a good example of this.
If you have any questions about these changes please feel free to get in touch.
Kind Regards,
DBNSW Team
