On behalf of the Board of Directors of Dragon Boats NSW it gives me great pleasure to announce the appointment of Lucy Warhurst to the position of Chief Executive Officer, Dragon Boats NSW Inc.

Lucy brings to us wide experience in the sporting environment with success with WA, NSW and Australian Institutes of Sport earlier in her career. In addition, she has worked as High Performance Manager for Archery Australia, successfully helping steer the Australian Olympic Archery team to a top 10 performance at the London Olympics. Latterly as Manager of Sailing and Events at the Freemantle Sailing Club, one of Australia’s Premier Sailing Clubs, Lucy worked to ensure the rights to host the World Championships for the 420 Class in December this year along with similar World Class events for both Dragon and 420s classes planned for 2019.

In her immediate previous role, Lucy worked with the AOC in a Senior Management position with responsibility for all aspects of planning and liaison for the Copacabana zone at the last Rio Olympics.

We believe Lucy to be uniquely qualified to take DBNSW forward into a bright, exciting and successful sporting future. Together with my fellow Directors I’m sure that you will join us all in extending to Lucy a very warm welcome to our sport. She will be joining us on September 11^th.
