Current Weather and Wind Warnings

DBNSW wishes to remind all clubs and members that during the current significant rainfall and terrible flooding event in Northern NSW that the health and safety of our clubs and members is our priority.

Clubs are reminded that no training or regattas are to be held when there is a gale wind warning and clubs do not train in thunderstorms. Clubs must also be aware of other risks such as flash flooding and changing river levels.

Storm & Flood Disaster Recovery Grant

Not-for-profit organisation in NSW directly impacted by storms and floods in February and March 2022, may be eligible for a storm and flood disaster recovery grant.

This disaster recovery grant of up to $50,000 is to help pay for the costs of clean-up and reinstatement of a not-for-profit organisation’s operations.

Region V Region

The Second Edition of the Region v Region Competition will be held on Sunday 1st May 2022 at the Sydney International Regatta Centre.

DBNSW is now calling for expressions of interest in the coaching and team manager roles for each region. Along with the interest in the paddling, sweeping and drumming for each region.

State Team Squads Announced

DBNSW is happy to announce the final squad selections for the NSW State Team due to Compete at the 2022 AusChamps in April at West Lakes, SA.

Work at DBNSW

DBNSW is currently in market to find an Equipment & Facilities Coordinator.

The Equipment & Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for the equipment and facility maintenance, and Regatta/Event support in line with DBNSW strategic plan. Playing a critical operational role in the preparation, planning and delivery, of all state DBNSW events.

2022 State Championships

The 2022 State Championships will take place on Saturday 30th April 2022 at the Sydney International Regatta Centre, Penrith.

Format: 500m, 20s Racing

Membership Fee Reduction

Reminder that individual registration fees have been discounted for the remained of the 2021-22 season.

DBNSW hopes this reduction in fees encourages one of the 200+ people who have activated Dragon Pass or 1 of the corporate crews from the Lunar New Year Regatta to take our membership with one of our 60+ fantastic clubs across the state and continues the growth we are seeing in the sport.

The following fees will apply;

• Adult Membership $60
• Young Adult $40
• Junior Membership $25

Memberships purchased during this period will be valid until 30 June 2021.
