COVID Update

As NSW gets closer and closer to the 70% - 80% vaccinated targets for the community, the NSW Government is releasing high-level information on how community and competitive sport will return.

As Public Health Orders (PHO) and “Road Maps to Freedom” become available, DBNSW staff have worked with industry bodies, other sports and member organisations to understand the implications and have continuously lobbied for more clarity.

Based upon current projections, the state is likely to start reopening under restrictions as early as October 11.

The NSW Government have not confirmed any dates, however details for the return of community sport, has been reported to return when the state reaches 80% double dose vaccination.

DBNSW would like to invite a representative from each club to an online zoom call to discuss the current COVID situation, the Roadmap and the impact it may have on training and upcoming regattas.

The meeting will be held on 11-Oct @ 7pm and we ask all clubs to confirm their club representative by reply email to office@dbnsw.org.au.

  DBNSW ANNUAL REPORT

DBNSW ANNUAL REPORT

DBNSW is excited to release the 2020/21 Annual Report.

The 2020/21 season marked a challenging time for the sport of Dragon Boating especially in NSW where we faced the COVID-19 pandemic and floods that left devastating impacts on many clubs and forced the postponement of the NSW State Championships.

We would like to congratulate and thank our 3,000+ members and 64 clubs and schools for their contribution to the Dragon Boating community by creating a fun, social and inclusive environment.

It was once again a challenging year where we saw everyone rally together to ensure we made the best out of a tough situation and showed the power of community.
